She said as he turned back around, she noticed he was pointing a gun at her and was demanding money from the register.

The suspect is now being interviewed by police.

One of the suspects was carrying a semi-automatic handgun during the robbery, police said.

Assisted by other law enforcement agencies, EPD officers searched the area in the direction where the robber was last seen running, police said.

A 33-year-old Dangriga businesswoman and her two daughters were robbed inside their store on Friday.

Police eventually found the suspect's vehicle in the 800 block of E. Little Creek Road. Officers listening to police-band dispatches about the incident on their radios spotted the auto and began following it as it entered southbound Lake Shore Drive at Irving Park Road.

Columbia police arrested two people in connection with an attempted armed robbery in the 1400 block of Bass Avenue Saturday night.

He remains in custody after a bail hearing and will next appear in court on Wednesday.
