Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Daryl Worley may be in some trouble with the league, and the law.

The 23-year-old was taken into custody by Philadelphia Police at about 6am on Sunday, the NFL Network reports.

The report also shows that Worley was tased by the police after allegedly becoming aggressive towards the officers on scene.

The Eagles traded wide receiver Torrey Smith for Worley in March.

Rapoport tweeted that Worley was passed out in his vehicle near Broad and Pattison Streets, blocking a highway.

Worley pleaded no contest to a misdemeanor assault charge during his college career at West Virginia, and the Panthers chose to move on from the young defensive back after two seasons.

While in college at West Virginia, Worley pleaded no contest to misdemeanor assault after a 2014 incident at a nightclub.

The Eagles released a statement later Sunday confirming they "are in the process of gathering more information about Daryl Worley's arrest this morning". Worley said at the time that he was defending his girlfriend.

The Eagles begin voluntary offseason workouts Monday.
