According to TMZ Sports, the Green Bay Packers wide receiver was recently arrested at LAX after he stupidly joked about smuggling a bomb in the airport.

According to reports, the 24-year-old Davis was arrested after an attendant asked Davis some normal security questions about his luggage.

The Packers confirmed the arrest on Monday and said they will not be providing further comment on an ongoing legal matter.

"The Packers are aware of the matter involving Trevor Davis", the team said in a statement earlier today.

I don't know what Davis was thinking if he made these comments, but it's a bonehead thing to say.

The players will also wear a 100th anniversary patch on their uniforms buring the season and the Packers will be releasing a documentary and a book to commemorate the organization's 100th season.

At that moment, police reportedly came to the scene and took Davis into custody before he was eventually released. Davis' preliminary court hearing is scheduled for May 3.

Football draftniks had one word for Trevor Davis prior to the 2016 NFL draft: Explosive.

Technically, Davis is subject to scrutiny under the NFL's Personal Conduct Policy, regardless of how the criminal proceeding resolves itself.

Trevor Davis served as the Packers primary kick returner during the 2017 National Football League season.
