HMD teasing "Nokia X" launch on April 27 in China

When it comes to premium smartphones, the "X" naming is adopted by many because we have a stellar iPhone X smartphone which represents Premium smartphone lineup.

HMD Global, the new home of Nokia mobiles is apparently planning to launch a device named Nokia X on 27 April if speculations are to be believed from an advertisement at a multiplex in China. As you can notice below, the ads seemingly show renders of the new phone forming an X. Unfortunately, that doesn't reveal much about the device.

The upcoming Nokia X is thought to be different from the original Nokia X handset launched in 2014. A photo of the device showing X on the smartphone is spotted clearly large text.

If the Nokia X is indeed a mid-range smartphone, it is likely to be priced similarly to the Nokia 7 Plus in the Indian market. It also has 8 GB of storage memory, a 4.5-inch IPS screen with 480 x 854 pixel resolution, a quad-core processor from MediaTek, 5 MP and 2 MP cameras, and a 2,150 mAh battery. So even if the device is released in China on 27 April, it probably wouldn't make its way to other countries by June-end or July. However, it remains to be seen if the Nokia X will be making its way to India.

HMD Global has lately been on the front foot, having launched several Nokia-branded smartphones in the past couple of years.
