Rishabh Pant stepped in at No.3 and complemented Roy. Roy-Pant were dominating the Mumbai bowlers with Hardik Pandya, Akila Dananjaya and Mayank Markande being hit all over the park.

Earlier, Mumbai scored 194 runs and attempted to give Delhi a challenge.

Both the batsman cleared the boundary ropes easily as runs began to flow thick and fast.

With the opening pair of Rohit Sharma and Evin Lewis failing to get going in the past two matches, the hosts tweaked their combination and promoted the local lad up the order alongside the West Indies left-hander and the 27-year-old didn't disappoint. Roy put the game to rest with a four and six off the first two balls, but keeping with the trend of the game, the next three deliveries were dots.

Over 3: 40/0, In this over MI is on fire as they score 15 runs with the help of two 4's and a 6.

Toss: Delhi Daredevils won the toss and chose to BOWL first.

Mumbai raced to their 100 in just 8.3 overs. Spinner Rahul Tewatia applied the brakes and send Lewis back, who was caught by Jason Roy at mid-off. And after three Mumbai still remained wicket-less.

Mustafizur and Bumrah are some of the best death bowlers in the world, but they went for runs and would be keen to do better tomorrow. Young Jharkhand keeper Ishan Kishan further stepped on the gas with a 21 ball 43 (SR: 191.30) in a fifty run stand with skipper Rohit Sharma (18). But Kieron Pollard brought Mumbai Indians back into the game with a stunning diving catch at long-off as Pant went back to the pavilion with the visitors at 119/2.

Rohit Sharma, the home team captain, wasn't too fussed about batting first, and made two changes to his XI. They were given a reasonable score to win in just six overs.

Pant did not spare Dhananjaya, hitting him for two sixes and a four as Delhi grabbed 19 runs of the 10th over.

Mumbai Indians bowling coach Shane Bond feels his team could have played a bit smarter and posted a bigger score but in the end some errors in their decision making cost them the last-ball IPL thriller against Sunrisers Hyderabad. Although Krunal Pandya outscored him with the bat, Hardik made up for it with the ball.

There was plenty of drama before Jason Roy gave the finishing blow to a pulsating Vivo-IPL match, lifting Bangladesh's left-arm seamer Mustafizur Rahman over cover for Daredevils' first win in three matches. Add in Bangladesh ace Shakib Al Hasan and Aussie express pacer Billy Stanlake into mix and you have one of the most complete bowling units you will ever find.

The Bangladeshi bowler, who was handed the responsibility to bowl the final over, nearly took the game to the super over, but Roy ensured that his team crossed the finish line in a tense finish.
