BJP state chief Sat Sharma received the resignations of both the ministers on Sunday morning, who forwarded them to Mufti, who later, accepted the resignations and passed them on to the state governor for further action.

SP leader Chandrapal Singh Yadav quickly launched an attack and said names of BJP leaders in the conversation shows they were shielding criminals.

"We appreciate our alliance partner, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Rajnath Singh, Ram Madhav and Amit Shah for their support and taking resignation of the two ministers about whom the media said that their role was not positive", PDP legislator Naeem Akhtar said.

Madhav told the BJP leaders that while the party wouldn't compromise on its core agenda of securing the "interests of Hindus" of Jammu, it "can't afford to be seen in coalition with the government which was influenced by bias of Muslims". However, the sources said that the two ministers were forced to quit following Mufti who is also president of the PDP raised the issue with ally BJP at the highest level.

The PDP and the BJP are in alliance in Jammu and Kashmir. Then it was given to Crime Branch and two more people were picked up.

"They have resigned because of the way the entire thing has been presented across the country".

During a visit to Bulandshahr for crime review meeting on Sunday, DGP Singh said, "This (claims of encounter being managed) is absolutely wrong. Beyond that I don't think there will be any impact of this incident or these developments on the coalition".

According to police charges, the minor from the nomad Bakerwal community was kidnapped on January 10.

The CBI has taken over the investigation in the three cases related to the alleged rape of the 17-year-old girl by Sengar.

"Certain amount of discretion should have been maintained".

Raghu, who has made a decision to contest as an independent, had unsuccessfully contested the assembly elections from Krishnaraja constituency in 2013 on BSR Congress Party's ticket. "In Jammu, the Congress leaders are casting aspersion over the probe and their senior leaders were creating law and order situation through Bar Council", he alleged.

"I came last month and we had a meeting, " Madhav said.

Initially, police didn't take action on the victim's complaint.
