Police are looking for 56-year-old Lois Riess as a person of interest in her husband's murder

Authorities say that Lois Riess first shot to death her husband in Blooming Prairie, Minnesota, last month, reports WBBH.

Rose said the Lee County Attorney's Office in Florida charged Lois Riess of Blooming Prairie today in the murder of Pamela Hutchinson of Bradenton, Florida.

Riess is now wanted for felony theft, but authorities in Dodge County, Minnesota say she is the only suspect in the death of her husband, David Riess, who died of multiple gunshot wounds at his home on March 23.

"Ms. Hutchinson's purse was found to be in disarray and all cash, credit cards and identification appeared to be removed", Lee County Undersheriff Carmine Marceno said, adding: "Further investigation revealed that Ms. Hutchinson was targeted by the suspect due to the similarities in their appearance".

That's what they believe happened to Hutchinson, who resembles Riess with her now bleached blond hair. Local, state and federal investigators in Florida have watched hundreds of hours of surveillance video in an attempt to track Lois Riess, and believe she is now somewhere near Corpus Christi, Texas.

Investigators believe she was driving a white, 2005 Cadillac Escalade, with Minnesota license plate 864-LAE. Researchers additional Lois Riess doesn't need authority for account. Business partners of her husband hadn't seen him for two weeks and asked for a welfare check. Anyone with information on her whereabouts is urged to call authorities.

Authorities found David Riess's body inside his home with multiple gunshots. At one point in the search, Rose said they learned she might be at the Diamond Jo Casino near Northwood. It was unclear how long he had been dead, Rose said.

Riess is believed to be driving Hutchinson's vehicle, a white Acura TL with Florida plates.

"We want to warn everybody, Riess is considered to be armed and risky and should not be approached", Rose said.

"Investigators were unable to locate David's wife, Lois Riess", said the sheriff. Callers can remain anonymous.
