Gas Prices in Arizona Continue to Rise

Based on historical trends, we're also only about two months from the point in the year where gas prices typically peak (mid-June).

Las Vegas- $3.03/g, up 3.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.99/g.

Gas prices have held at their highest price of the year - $2.66 - for one week.

GasBuddy says the national average gas price has fallen slightly in the past week to $2.65. An average price retail price for a gallon of regular gasoline will reach USD2.74 a gallon for the April through September summer driving season, up 14% from a year ago, according to the EIA.

Gas prices have edged higher this week following the Energy Information Administration's (EIA) latest weekly report that showed gasoline inventories dropped by 1.1 million bbl.

Phoenix- $2.64/g, up 4.9 cents per gallon from last week's $2.59/g.

Gas prices rise again, but trade worries limit increase

US crude oil inventories dropped by 4.6 million barrels last week and gasoline inventories fell by 1.1 million barrels.

Hardin County has the lowest county average price for gasoline at $2.35.

Oil prices have been higher than usual due to concerns of a possible trade war between the USA and China, according to Patrick DeHaan, head of petroleum analysis for GasBuddy. Seasonal maintenance and turnaround to summer-grade fuel is almost complete and should no longer be a significant factor in pump prices.

"The price is likely to increase as spring brings warmer weather and the switchover to summer blend gasoline, but hopefully we will only see mild jumps in coming weeks", AAA spokeswoman Jeanette Casselano said in a statement.

Tucson- $2.54/g, up 5.6 cents per gallon from last week's $2.48/g. But that was 25.9 cents a gallon higher than the same day previous year and 12 cents a gallon higher than a month ago.
