Alia Bhatt's Raazi has a steady open at the box office

Asked whether she expected a positive response from the audience for her latest release Raazi, Alia said, "I didn't expect this kind of response".

During the show, Alia also said that she felt really bad about not being able to spend more time with her mother and how Raazi became a blessing in disguise. Her latest film Raazi, which released on Friday, will see Alia play an Indian spy who marries a Pakistani major exclusively to retrieve information and pass it own to Indian authorities. "But there were layers that I saw, and that he saw later when he read the screenplay".

After delivering power-packed performances in films like Highway and Udta Punjab, Alia Bhatt is back with Meghna Gulzar's espionage drama Raazi. "I was actually nervous for my mother and hoping that she has memorised her lines well". I believe Mother's Day should not be just a one-day celebration rather must be celebrated every day. Some people were crying after watching the film and I feel really happy when I make people cry through my films. I wanted her to be superb. To which, the honest Alia replied saying that although she never stole money, she certainly fooled her mother in giving her more money taking advantage of her mom's weak memory. On the other hand Alia shared that she was emotionally exhausted when she was playing the role. "Me and my mother were often told that we look like twins because we have a similar way of talking". Seeing her mom walk down, Alia couldn't help but shed a tear or two making it a truly heart-warming moment. "This is my way of showing love to you".
