Agent confirms Lewandowski seeking Bayern exit

We have been given the clearest indication to date that Robert Lewandowski's proposed move to Chelsea this summer is not just a pipe-dream.

Chelsea have received a huge boost in their pursuit of Robert Lewandowski, with the striker's agent revealing that he is keen to leave Bayern Munich this summer.

Speaking in early May, Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge said: "They do not have to worry about Robert Lewandowski and the relationship with Bayern".

The 29-year-old has been heavily linked with UEFA Champions League winners Real Madrid in the past few months, although the German club has insisted there have been no talks.

"We know what we have in him and I'm very happy that we still have such a long-term contract", added Rummenigge.

Lewandowski has scored 106 goals in 126 Bundesliga games for Bayern since switching from league rival Borussia Dortmund in 2014. Bayern officials know it.

"Robert's motivation is not money or a specific club, because nearly all top clubs would like to sign up the world's best striker".

"Everyone in the club hierarchy can boast of a great career. They should understand his situation", he told Sport Bild.

Magazine Kicker also pointed out that Bayern's senior bosses have repeatedly informed Lewandowski that there is no possibility of leaving before his contract expires.

Sport Bild claim Bayern will more readily sell Jerome Boateng, Arturo Vidal, Thiago Alcantara and Juan Bernat if suitable offers are made.
