Fortnite Thanos Limited Time Mashup — LYTV

Fortnite Season 4 Combat

Fortnite Season 4 Combat

This will be starting at around 9am, BST, leaving the Battle Royale island out of commision. Developer Epic Games announced today on Twitter that the battle royale game's next update is coming on May 15.

The new assault rifle variations seem to have showed up on Fortnite Tracker some time ago, with damage ratings and all the other stats you could want shown for both epic and legendary versions.

More will be revealed after the game goes down for scheduled maintenance, which is when Epic Games usually share the official patch notes.

Infinity Gauntlet is a collaboration between Epic Games and Marvel to bring the MCU's Thanos to Fortnite. Of course, as has been the case with many LTMs, the aforementioned mode will retire, and it's set to leave the game tomorrow on May 15, 2018.

In the special gameplay mode, Thanos' all-powerful Infinity Gauntlet - which in the movies has the power to instantly wipe out trillions of living beings - will spawn at random points in the map. A game like that would be great for a Battle Royale mode, especially since Fortnite's own Battle Royale mode is essentially an entirely separate game from the original Fortnite concept.

It means the event will have just lasted for a week, with it unclear if Epic Games will replace it with another limited time mode (LTM) tomorrow.

Here's a quick summary of how it works: every round of the Infinity Gauntlet Limited Time Mashup mode begins like normal, until a meteor streaks down from the sky (not that meteor) with the Infinity Gauntlet inside.

"Wield the Gauntlet one last time".
