Massive fire rips through Europe’s 2nd largest theme park

In the largest amusement Park Europa Park in the town roots in the South-West of Germany there was a fire, the press service of the Park on Twitter. Currently, the Panorama Railway, Monorail, Pirates in Batavia, Fjord Rafting, Jungle Rafting and Koffiekopjes are not working.

It is not known what caused the fire, and firefighters remain at the park to make sure the fire does not start up again.

She filmed the devastation and posted it to her social media with the caption 'oh my god!' Parts of the park's Dutch- and Scandinavian-themed areas were also destroyed in the blaze. It drew 5.7 million visitors previous year, according to the most recent TEA/AECOM Theme Index report, making it the 21st most-visited theme park in the world. It was located in the Netherlands section of the park.

According to the park, the fire broke out in a warehouse and then spread to the adjacent attraction "The Pirates of Batavia". From the Park evacuated all visitors, no one was hurt.

There were no injuries to the public reported, but seven firemen were admitted to hospital for minor injuries and smoke inhalation from the blaze. About 250 firefighters were on scene and although the fire continued to burn early Sunday morning (German time), it was brought under control on Saturday night.
