After being out of the public view for 20 days - during which she underwent a medical procedure to treat what was referred to as a benign kidney condition - Trump on Wednesday sought to tamp down theories that have been circulating about her absence.

The conspiracy theory seemed to dovetail with the ever-present rumors that Melania Trump was planning to leave her husband and initiate a divorce.

I see the media is working overtime speculating where I am & what I'm doing.

She spoke out after wild - and totally unsubstantiated - internet rumors claimed that she had dumped Donald Trump and moved back to NY, reports Politico.

The Slovenian-Born model's most recent Tweets give little away on her whereabouts, posting heat-warming tribute to the American armed forces for Memorial Day and commemorating former Navvy SEAL, master chief Slabinski, who received a Medal of Honour.

Her latest public appearance was on May 10, 20 days ago, when she joined President Donald Trump to welcome three Americans who had been detained in North Korea back to the U.S. at Joint Base Andrews. She spent five nights at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in nearby Bethesda, Maryland.

Often by her husband's side, whether or not Melania will accompany Donald on his state visit to Canada this June remains unclear.

"I don't think Melania Trump has a public obligation" to say more about her health, Patti Solis Doyle told Politico.

Reporters, however, said they didn't see anyone behind the glass.

Mrs. Trump tweeted that she's "feeling great" and is at the White House working hard for children and American families.

Melania has no public events scheduled at this time, the spokeswoman told Inside Edition.

A week after the first lady announced "Be Best", she was in the hospital.

'The danger in a situation like this if you don't have some control over the narrative, then people's imaginations go wild'. "Just looking at us, right there", the president said at the time.
