Scarborough concluded the segment by lamenting Giuliani's latest statements as confirmation of Trump's efforts to derail Robert Mueller's investigation.

Sounds like President Donald Trump's lawyer struck out at the ball game on his 74th birthday.

Giuliani became the 107th mayor of New York City in 1994.

Monday was not a great day for baseball in NY.

NY is now 33-17 on the season, and Giuliani is 0-1 at Yankee Stadium for the year.

Giuliani went on to say that the president would need the public on his side if he faces impeachment, and the "Spygate" allegations are meant to do just that.

Since going to the White House, Giuliani has made a strong effort to discredit the Mueller probe, while still maintaining that Trump would welcome a sit-down interview with the special counsel.

"The New York Yankees wish a very happy birthday to Mayor Giuliani!" the announcer brightly said.

The idea of Giuliani getting an ugly reception from a crowd at his home town would have seemed unthinkable a decade ago. But when the stadium announced that Giuliani was in attendance for his birthday, he was immediately met with loud boos from the fans in attendance.

The Yankees lost to the Astros, 5-1.
