Uber rebuffed Michael Cohen's consulting offer despite promises to share White House insight report

In January, a Wall Street Journal report revealed that Cohen had facilitated a $130,000 hush payment to the porn actress Stormy Daniels in the final weeks of the 2016 election campaign to prevent her from coming forward about an alleged affair with Trump.

Cohen's office, residence and hotel room were raided by federal officials last month.

Elizabeth Warren of Massachusetts, Richard Blumenthal of CT, and Ron Wyden of OR sent a letter to AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson asking questions about the $600,000 in payments the company made to Cohen previous year.

"They put their trust in a political novice who turned out to be a total moron and was actually just bilking them for personal gain", Oliver said of AT&T and the several companies that admitted to paying Cohen.

Meanwhile, Daniels lawyer Michael Avenatti outed Cohen on Twitter last night.

While Novartis was making these payments to Cohen's firm, the drug company was seeking, and ultimately received, approval for Kymriah from the US Food and Drug Administration, the senator noted.

Three Democratic senators are asking AT&T CEO Randall Stephenson for more information about the telecom giant's contract with President Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen.

Still, Stephenson emphasized that the company's dealings with Essential Consultants were all above board and perfectly legal.

Novartis Chief Executive Officer Vas Narasimhan said last week that the drugmaker "made a mistake" in signing up lawyer Michael Cohen to give the company insight on Trump's health-care plans. "If so, did any of those discussions involve a potential work by, or a contract with, Essential Consultants and Mr. Cohen?"

They point out in their letter that AT&T had a "significant financial interest" in Trump administration decisions when the contract began, including its proposed merger with Time Warner, net neutrality rules, and corporate tax cuts.

Meanwhile, the ranking Democrat on the Senate health and pensions committee, Patty Murray, has also launched an investigation of Novartis paying millions of dollars for apparent access to the Trump administration. But declined any further comment.
