Warriors Owner Joe Lacob on Playing Cavaliers: 'Sort of exhausted of Cleveland'

Lebron James

You've had three Finals meetings. He'll likely need to continue playing at that level and get more help from his teammates to make the Finals a competitive series.

History, bragging rights, and, of course, the 2018 National Basketball Association championship are all on the line once more as the Cleveland Cavaliers and the Golden State Warriors rekindle their Finals rivalry in the National Basketball Association. With a concussed Kevin Love missing most of the final two crunch games against the Celtics, and with the team coming into the Playoffs as the four-seed, many believe that - James aside - this is the weakest Cavs team in quite some time. Golden State is favored by 11.5 to 12 points in Game 1.

Will that be the only reason the Warriors beat the Cavaliers in the Finals?

Check out the poll below and let us know what you think. His 19 points and eight rebounds in Game 7 against his former team provided much-needed relief for James, who had been carrying the team up until that point.

Since Steve Kerr took over as head coach in 2014, the Warriors have lost 20 playoff games; 16 of those involved their opponents shooting better from behind the three-point line.

According to ESPN, the Warriors opened as 12-point favorites for Thursday night's Game 1, which is tied for the largest point spread in an NBA Finals game since 2001, when the Los Angeles Lakers were a 12-point favorite over Allen Iverson's Philadelphia Sixers in Game 1.

3 - Cleveland's struggles to defend the fast break have been well known all season. "Everybody had their opinions on what our team was, what we would do, what we can't do, from the start".

That sentiment rang especially true throughout the postseason, with the Indiana Pacers almost taking a 3-1 lead in the opening round before some clutch 3-point shooting from Korver in Game 4 saved the season. And yet two days - and two all-time postseason performances from James - later, Cleveland found itself where it expected to wind up all along, back atop the Eastern Conference and ready for one last ride on what's been a roller coaster of a season.
