Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice Announced by From Software

At Microsoft's E3 2018 conference, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice was premiered for the first time.

The trailer actually shows gameplay, and it looks absolutely fantastic.

From Software has announced a brand new samurai game titled Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, published by Activision. The trailer offered barely anything to latch onto, but FromSoftware's fans who enjoyed previous games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne don't need much to get them hooked. I, for one, and glad to see an original From Software game rather than a sequel. The newest game from the "Soulsborne" franchise creator seems cut from the same third-person-action cloth as Dark Souls and Bloodborne, set in what appears to be feudal Japan. Now, during Xbox's E3 press conference, we have a world debut.

It's also worth pointing out that some of the past details that supposedly leaked for the game are sizing up to be at least somewhat accurate. The player character's apparent high agility thanks to his prosthetic arm attachments and ninja skills was a highlight as well.

Activision will be publishing Sekiro on PS4, Xbox One, and PC in early 2019.
