DLC, New Game Plus Coming to Arkane Studios’ ‘Prey’

The update, which will be available for all players and is called Mooncrash, will appear the next time you open the game. In "Mooncrash", "players take on the role of a hacker named Peter who's stationed aboard a spy satellite tasked with intercepting TranStar communications".

To wrap up the news, the space-faring title will also be getting a special DLC called Prey: Mooncrash; the DLC will take place on a secret moon base and include a number of unlockable characters, special skills, and deadly Typhons. This will come as a free update for Mooncrash DLC and Prey: Digital Deluxe owners and will be playable in VR and without it. This DLC will feature a similar concept to the Radiant Quest system developed for Skyrim, changing each run through of the TranStar secret moon base so that you never play the same thing twice. This loot transfers over to your next game and gives you a better chance of survival. It's rolling out a huge update tonight that includes three new modes - Story, New Game+, and Survival.

And coming later this summer is Typhon Hunter, a new multiplayer mode that sets one hunter player against five mimic players. Typhon Hunter doesn't yet have a release date, but it is expected to arrive later this year. If you've already got a copy of the game, you can buy it as a standalone DLC for $20. There's also a long-awaited New Game Plus mode.
