On Friday the news broke that renowned celebrity chef, author and travel TV personality had died. But after Bourdain's recent death, Netflix announced it had extended its licensing agreement to keep airing "Parts Unknown".

The fans asked, and Netflix listened.

"It is with extraordinary sadness we can confirm the death of our friend and colleague, Anthony Bourdain", CNN said in a statement. Originally scheduled to leave the streaming service this weekend, the show will remain available for "months to come", Netflix says in a Tweet.

Devotees of Bourdain may not realize that the Parts Unknown star's first television series was on the Food Network's A Cook's Tour between 2002-2003.

Anthony Bourdain continues to be mourned around the globe.

"After he was found dead last Friday, the network chose to go ahead and air the previously scheduled new episode, featuring Berlin, on Sunday ..." His talents never ceased to amaze us and we will miss him very much.

I mostly remember the lines outside of That's It Market after Bourdain's visit. "Our thoughts and prayers are with his daughter and family at this incredibly hard time". By gnawing it to the bone. It is heartwarming, it is honest and it benefits humankind. The eighth and now final episode of Season 11, featuring Bhutan, will air Sunday, June 24 at 9 p.m. ET on CNN. "Please keep it on the air", Palin wrote.
