'Overwhelming' Offer Could Motivate Spurs To Trade Kawhi Leonard To Lakers

LeBron’s next decision will test Cavs fans once again

LeBron’s next decision will test Cavs fans once again

Recent reports seem to indicate his next team is the Los Angeles Lakers, the overwhelming favorites to sign the Akron native.

The Lakers will be able to officially speak with James on July 1, assuming he does not exercise his player option.

In the latest batch of LeBron James rumors, LeBron James Jr.is reportedly very likely to enroll in Sierra Canyon School in Los Angeles, which creates more buzz around LeBron James joining the Los Angeles Lakers.

But what if they strike out on James, George and Leonard in the next few weeks? There is another heavy hitter they could pursue who has been to four All-Star games, has twice made the All-NBA 2nd team and has averaged 25.9 points, 11.9 rebounds and 4.2 assists per game the last four seasons. Sometimes, being in a city and with a team can convince you to stay somewhere you never knew you wanted to be. Meanwhile, Ryan Russillo notes that if Paul George doesn't go to the Lakers, LeBron may just remain with the Cavs.

Houston's roster includes one of James' closest friends, point guard Chris Paul, who was a catalyst for the Rockets' postseason run before suffering a hamstring injury against the Warriors in the final minutes of Game 5 of the Western Conference Finals. However, he wasn't really the high fly act he used to be when he earned the nickname "The Human Highlight Film".

Then, with a two-handed dunk midway through the first quarter against the New Orleans Pelicans at Quicken Loans Arena in late March, James surpassed the 10-point mark for the 867th consecutive game, which moved him ahead of Chicago Bulls legend Michael Jordan for the most in National Basketball Association history. Landon Buford adds that the connection is due to his next team possibly playing a part in the trailer.

George acknowledges the Thunder took a big risk in signing him with free agency bound the next year but also hinted he may have unfinished business in Oklahoma. This would accomplish two things - first, it could give Cousins an incentive to work harder than ever and be on his best behavior.
