Respawn Entertainment Reveals Name and Setting of Star Wars Project; Coming Holiday 2019

The game will take place between Episodes 3 and 4 during the fall of the Jedi Order following the events of Order 66. Barring any delays, the game sounds like the title many Star Wars fans have been waiting for. While exact gameplay details weren't shared just yet, Zampella did say that you will get to play as the Jedi, in some capacity, though we'll surely get more specific details on the game as it gets closer to release.

Fallen Order, the game will obviously see you taking up a lightsaber during the dark times, as the Jedi are being hunted and systematically slaughtered.

"Over the past few years, I've had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with Vince Zampella [founder of Respawn] and his group". With Titanfall 2 not being as well-received as EA and Respawn would have liked, it makes a new entry unlikely, and with the official Star Wars account also teasing some EA Play news, a new Star Wars game could be on the cards.

There were no other details for now, but we do know we won't be able to get our hands on the game until Holiday 2019. Maybe. It's a Star Wars game with a huge lead time - it could be canceled!

Respawn's new game is only one of several Star Wars irons EA has in the fire.

In further Star Wars news, DiCE announced that this year Star Wars Battlefront II will dive deep into the era of The Clone Wars including four brand new heroes: Obi-Wan Kenobi, General Grievous, Count Dooku, and Anakin Skywalker.
