Roseanne Barr: "I'm Not a Racist, Just an Idiot"

Forgive and forget? Roseanne Barr offered an olive branch to costars Sara Gilbert and Michael Fishman after she accused them of throwing her under the bus amid backlash from her racist tweet.

On Thursday, he doubled down on his request for an apology.

Fans and celebrities have rallied for a spin-off without Roseanne featuring the rest of the Conner clan.

Barr has a long history of tweeting racist and generally bigoted comments and, according to Arnold, ABC knew what they signed up for and "needed someone to wrangle her in and take her phone". How is Brian Ross doing?

Trump is referring to ABC News reporter Brian Ross, who was suspended after making an error in a story past year when he said Trump had directed former National Security adviser Michael Flynn to make contact with the Russians during the 2016 presidential campaign.

Ross corrected his reporting hours after it turned out to be inaccurate.

At the time, Trump tweeted: "Congratulations to ABC News for suspending Brian Ross for his horrendously inaccurate and dishonest report on the Russia, Russia, Russia Witch Hunt".

The ill-advised attack on one of former US leader Barack Obama's top aides, Valerie Jarrett, cost Barr her revived sitcom, Roseanne, which was immediately cancelled by TV bosses at ABC.

In one of her tweets, Barr wrote that if the Islamist political movement "muslim brotherhood & planet of the apes had a baby = vj", referring to Valerie Jarrett, a former aide to President Barack Obama. Barr later apologized for her words, but she's also defended them, claiming that her remarks were the result of late-night tweeting while on Ambien. While everyone from Tom Arnold to President Trump has sounded off with their opinion on the cancellation and Barr's comment, some of the people involved with the show are choosing to stay quiet. "The saddest part of all is 4 Jayden Rey on the show whom I grew2 love so much & am so ashamed of myself that she would ever think I do not love her bc she is African American".

Trump, it seemed, was one of those viewers. She even said the support she's gotten from like-minded people had made her consider "fighting back".

On the end of the series: "It had to happen".

She called her own actions indefensible, saying: "I made a mistake I wish I hadn't but...don't defend it please".
