According to several reports, Apple plans to announce new versions of its many operating systems, including iOS, macOS, watchOS, and tvOS.

Whatever the WWDC 2018 keynote announcements may be, the software updates likely won't be available for a few months.

Support for third-party watch faces is reported to be part of watchOS 5, along with an enhanced focus on health and activity features but most coverage of the update tends to come in the form of wish lists versus anything concrete. The Dashboard will display the amount of time a user spends on their phone, the number of notifications they've received and the number of times they've unlocked their phone. He also says that Apple will be showing off new Animoji features at the conference, alongside another big augmented reality announcement. It may be too soon for any big changes, but Apple could preview the Siri improvements it hopes to make. The technology has been widely deployed by industries for problem-solving such as in user interaction, mapping of assembly lines and product development.

IOS 12 will finally allow iPhones and Apple Watches to work with NFC-enabled transit systems, ID systems, auto doors, and more.

There's also been talk about Apple allowing apps to run across macOS and iOS without the need for separate versions of the software, in what's called Project Marzipan. According to a Reuters report, Apple will add a way for multiple iPhone users to view the same augmented reality scenes and objects in the same room.

Moreover, Apple will likely unveil a smaller and cheaper HomePod speaker.

Rumours suggest that Siri could get an update that the assistant could be more open to third-party apps and services, better at providing answers to questions, and more consistent across all of Apple's devices. Additionally, the company just leaked a video which showcases a new Dark Mode for Xcode and reveals an Apple News app for macOS.

Apple may finally push for robust parental controls.

Apple hasn't launched an iPhone in June since the iPhone 4, but it's possible that a follow-up to the iPhone SE could feature at the WWDC this year.

It has been about a year since Apple refreshed the MacBook Pro, which means that it is about time that Apple refreshes the lineup. With disappointing sales figures since HomePod was released February 9, Apple may be looking at broadening the range to appeal to more price-conscious consumers.
