President Donald Trump will be honoring a new guest at the White House soon - one who happens to agree with him that Russian Federation should be added back to the G-7.

Trump has also feuded on Twitter this week with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau and French President Emmanuel Macron, who are both attending this year's summit.

The G7 summit ended in farce and a renewed threat of global trade war as US President Donald Trump abruptly rejected the text of a consensus statement and bitterly insulted the Canadian host.

Trudeau said he had told Trump that the talks had been made more complicated by a US decision to impose tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum, ostensibly for national security reasons. "We're not looking to play games", Trump added.

He also resumes his criticism against Canada for unfairly charging tariffs on dairy products heading to the United States.

Trump also targeted Trudeau on Twitter this weekend after the talks, saying Trudeau's "false statements" led him to decide not to sign the G7 communique.

France and Germany have criticized President Donald Trump for threatening to pull the United States out of a joint statement with key G7 allies.

Trump recently ignited a trade dispute by imposing tariffs on his North American and European partners' steel and aluminium exports and repeated a threat to impose tariffs on auto imports. -Canadian border. Trudeau said that imposing retaliatory measures "is not something I relish doing" but that he wouldn't hesitate to do so because "I will always protect Canadian workers and Canadian interests".

Prime Minister Trudeau reiterated it is unacceptable to include Canada in 232 national security tariffs.

Prior to the summit, Donald Tusk, the president of the European Council, had openly expressed concern that the "rules-based worldwide order is being challenged" by the USA, long seen as its architect and protector.

It's a startling attack on the leader of the US neighbor and ally.

"The EU understands that the only way with Trump is strength", said one European official.

The majority of Canadian exports go to the United States, making Canada uniquely vulnerable to a USA trade war.

"The United States has been taken advantage of for decades and decades", Trump told reporters, reiterating his long-standing view that Washington has been exploited for too long by existing trade arrangements.

Trump's comments on Saturday came shortly after Trudeau, who was hosting the G-7 meeting in Canada, had projected an image of cooperation.

The president's sharp comments came as he is now en route to Singapore for a highly anticipated meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, set to be held on Tuesday.

"In fact, I congratulate leaders of other countries for so crazily being able to make these trade deals so good for their countries", Trump said. To him, the gap between the value of what America sells and what it buys in foreign markets reflects economic weakness, trade accords that are unfair to the USA and abusive policies by other countries.

But Trudeau later contradicted the president: "We will not, can not sign a trade deal that expires every five years. But it did not start with this G7, but with the election of Donald Trump", said a European official.
