White House makes video for Kim to persuade him to do deal

Trump had the video made for Kim and personally showed it to him on an iPad when the two met.

"What is? Can history be changed?"

When US President Donald Trump sat down to make the case for peace to North Korea's leader Kim Jong-un on Tuesday, he rolled out what amounted to a movie trailer starring the two leaders. "I showed it to him today, actually during the meeting, toward the end of the meeting and I think he loved it". Out of the darkness can come the light and the light of hope can burn bright.

In the utterly freakish video, a narrator asserts gems like "the past doesn't have to be the future" and "out of the darkness can come the light".

The video was part of an overall pitch that reaching a deal between the USA and North Korea would help North Korea advance technologically and economically - including, Trump suggested, some real estate development.

The video includes images of industrial development and Western entertainment - including a basketball player dunking a ball. A team of white horses galloping across a sea.

US GovernmentThe video included a credit for "Destiny Pictures". A new beginning. One of peace.

Following the meeting, the two leaders attended an expanded bilateral meeting in the presence of key aides.

"It comes down to a choice, on this day, in this time, at this moment".

"A story about a special moment in time, when a man is presented with one chance that may never be repeated", the narrator continues. News footage showed the world leaders approaching the American flag bedecked limo, before Trump gestured to the vehicle and a Secret Service agent opened the passenger door.

According to its website, Destiny Film is a film and television production company founded by producer Mark Castaldo.

"We had nothing to do with that video at all", Castaldo said.

The White House did not respond to three inquiries about the video, but considering the WH.gov logo superimposed over the video's top right corner, it was likely administration-produced.

Kim Jong-un's reaction to Donald Trump asking photographers if they looked "handsome and thin and perfect" during their historic summit.

"As I've mentioned just now, I have determination to start a huge undertaking, which others haven't tried, by using today as an opportunity", Kim said, continuing to say that he had "made excellent start with the President although there will be difficulties". And it captures a lot, captures what can be done, ' he said.
