This means that Apple will introduce new Blue and Gold colors, assuming the Grey refers to the current Space Grey and White refers to the current Silver and Red is the Product (Red).

KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo reported that an entry-level line of 6.1-inch LCD display iPhones may sport these new color schemes. "The 6.5" iPhone is expected to come in black, white, and gold.

Another interesting tidbit from Kuo's report is that he expects the cheaper 6.1-inch LCD iPhone to account for 55 percent of sales when it's launched, with that percentage growing through 2019.

In a bit of a twist, Kuo didn't mention green or purple, but the analyst said nearly every other colour could show up on 2018 iPhones, with the upcoming 6.1-inch iPhone X successor available in "grey, white, blue, red and orange", while the larger 6.5-inch version may come in black, white and gold.

Citing the Korea Times, an industry official familiar with the matter stated that LG Display will be increasing its overall production capacity to provide Apple with more orders for the upcoming iPhone models.

The iPhones we see later this year may come in a variety of colors in one of the biggest departures from Apple's normal color range we've ever seen. All of the devices will feature a near-bezel-less design, but the LCD model could skip out on the dual-camera setup on the back, similar to what's happened with the past two generations of iPhones.

These possible four or five iPhone colors would be fairly new territory for Apple.
