Bristol Palin to Join 'Teen Mom OG' Cast

On July 19, TMZ broke the news that Bristol, the 27-yr-old daughter of politician Sarah Palin, has joined the MTV series in a full-time role.

This is just insane: TMZ reports that Bristol Meyer, née Palin, daughter of former Alaska governor and vice presidential candidate/current Sacha Baron Cohen target Sarah Palin, will be a cast member on the next season of Teen Mom OG, MTV's show documenting the lives of former teen moms who are now adult moms.

In the photo she appeared with daughters Atlee, one, Sailor, two, and eldest child Trip, now nine.

Palin was thrust into the spotlight when her pregnancy was announced during her mother, Sarah Palin's, unsuccessful run for vice president alongside John McCain in 2008. She joins cast members Maci Bookout, Amber Portwood and Catelynn Lowell on the long-running MTV docuseries. She was also on Seasons 11 and 15 of "Dancing with the Stars".

The folks who produce "Teen Mom" know what sells. because TMZ has learned Bristol Palin is joining "Teen Mom OG". That same year she also starred in Lifetime's Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp.

However, things have not been easy in the parenting and relationship departments for Bristol Palin.

The new Teen Mom has been an advocate for preventing teen pregnancy since her unplanned experience. I hate that kind of stuff.

"Teen Mom OG", which has been on the air since 2009, is a spin-off of the network's "16 & Pregnant" and documents the moms' everyday lives as they raise their children.
