FIFA Ask Broadcasters To Reduce Shots Of Attractive Female Fans

Addiechi said FIFA's stance was "a normal evolution", and broadcasts in Russian Federation have already improved from the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.

We've done it with individual broadcasters. "We have done it with our host broadcast services" Addiechi is quoted.

Anti-discrimination group Fare Network says sexism has been the biggest problem at Russian Federation 2018.

Sexism has proven a constant issue in Russian Federation over the course of the World Cup and there have been several cases of female television presenters being groped and kissed by male fans.

He also said there have been several cases of football fans grabbing or kissing female reporters while on air.

Meanwhile, chants by England fans during their World Cup semi-final defeat to Croatia on Wednesday are being investigated by the governing body.

Addiechi said Federation Internationale de Football Association has been working with the local organisers and Russian police to identify such fans and, when appropriate, they have lost their FAN-IDs and thrown out of the country.

The "hot female fan" image is widespread in coverage of the World Cup.

Croatia's current generation has mostly lived in the shadow of Šuker, Boban, Prosinečki and the success of the "Bronze Generation", though tonight they have an opportunity to surpass the already monumental July 11th date, and be the team to take Croatia one step further - the World Cup final.

Recently, Getty Images published a photo gallery titled "the hottest fans at the World Cup" and it featured only women.
