I didn't criticise Theresa May to The Sun

Donald Trump UK visit- Trump and Theresa May

Recalling that visit during the press conference on Friday, he said there had been "an unbelievably large number of reporters there", adding: "I guess everybody was there because of Brexit".

Daniel Jones, a charity communications officer who helped organize the blimp, said the stunt was supposed to make people smile while also underlining serious criticism of the USA leader.

But Mr Trump appeared to link Brexit to the current trade dispute between the U.S. and European Union over steel and aluminium.

The interview was published as Trump dined with the prime minister at a black-tie dinner at Blenheim Palace.

Among other issues discussed were Trump's relationship with Russian President Vladimir Putin (with whom Trump will meet at a summit next week), immigration, North Atlantic Treaty Organisation and Brexit.

Trump even took a shot at London Mayor Sadiq Khan for not taking a harder line on immigration and painted the city as a hub for terrorism.

I have no power over these things."The latest chapter in the Trump-Khan feud came after a British lawmaker was accused of Islamophobia over a now-deleted tweet he posted about the London mayor.Michael Fabricant posted a cartoon Khan's head on an inflatable balloon, engaged in a sex act with a pig".

Activists inflate a giant balloon depicting US President Donald Trump as an orange baby in north London on July 10, 2018 ahead of a demonstration in London to coincide with the visit of the US president. If Trump said it, it's not clear when or where.

Trump said he had made a suggestion to May on a negotiating tactic with Brussels that she had not taken because it was "maybe too brutal", but she could still use it if things took a turn for the worse.

Prime Minister May said they had discussed plans for an "ambitious" trade agreement. He's a very people person.

In the interview with the Sun, Trump - who has been a long-time supporter of Brexit - said May had not listened to his advice on how to do a Brexit deal, saying: "I would have done it much differently". But I told her how to do it.

"To say the president called us "fake news" with any serious intent is, well. fake news".

Trump is due to meet Putin, who has rejected the nerve agent claims, at a summit when he finishes his four-day visit to Britain, and said he would raise the issue of reducing nuclear weapons.

Trump said that the "special relationship" - "the highest level of special" - between the two countries is "a bond that is like no other".

President Trump said his relationship with Theresa May was "very, very strong", but he did not respond to questions about his attack in the Sun newspaper on her Brexit plans.

Repeatedly speaking in support of the PM - he said he'd enjoyed spending so much time with her over the past two days.

"Allowing the immigration to take place in Europe is a shame".

"I think he has done a bad job on crime, if you look, all of the frightful things going on there, with all of the crime that is being brought in".
