So it's really cool.

Rodina knocked out Madison Keys in the third round to progress to this stage, but Williams needed just 62 minutes to end her unlikely run and will next face Camila Giorgi as she looks to win her first slam since returning to the WTA Tour following the birth of her first child.

Jelena Ostapenko and Dominika Cibulkova will also meet in Tuesday's quarterfinals.

The one time Williams lost a service game, cutting her second-set lead to 3-2, she broke right back at love to start a three-game streak that ended things.

Germany´s Angelique Kerber, seeded 11th, is the top ranked player remaining.

But Pliskova, who reached number one in the rankings after Wimbledon a year ago, found some fight and capitalised on a loose game by Bertens that allowed her to break back and level the set at 4-4.

After a series of upsets in the women's singles tournament at Wimbledon, all of the top-10 seeds from the women's draw have been eliminated.

But the 36-year-old shared over the weekend that despite a strict schedule to be as present as possible for her daughter, she still managed to miss out on baby Alexis's first steps while getting in some training for Wimbledon.

With all of the top-10 seeds out of the tournament, Williams is the comfortable favourite heading into the last-eight - a status she's more than used to after a remarkable career spanning more than two decades.

Cibulkova overcame a delay caused by a controversial decision from the umpire to advance to the quarterfinals with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Hsieh Su-Wei. She advanced Monday with a 6-3, 7-6 (5) victory over Belinda Bencic and will next face Daria Kasatkina of Russian Federation.

Bertens, who reached the Wimbledon quarterfinals for the first time, hit seven aces and saved eight of the 10 break points she faced. It's like all the other women that are still in the draw.

And she ensured there would not be another shock in Monday's contest on Centre Court, her seemingly unstoppable march to the final continuing with a 6-2, 6-2 triumph.

"At the French Open I had all that pressure, now it's gone", former junior Wimbledon champion Ostapenko said.
