Ojo, who spent previous year helping Fulham win promotion to the Premier League scoring four goals in 22 appearances despite being sidelined for a time by a dislocated shoulder, has impressed already in pre-season.

One of Switzerland's star performances in Russian Federation, his last-minute victor against Serbia sent the side through to the World Cup's round of 16 before their campaign drew to a close with a defeat to Sweden.

Liverpool have opened talks with Stoke as they look to make Xherdan Shaqiri their latest summer signing.

There is a release clause in his contract - understood to be around £13m - and Liverpool are discussing the details on that with the club.

Klopp has already added two players - Naby Keita and Fabinho - to his squad this summer, but is aware of the need for further reinforcements if his side are to close the gap to champions Manchester City, and remain competitive in the Champions League too.

Following their elimination at the hands of Sweden last week, Shaqiri hinted that his new club would be revealed soon and the Telegraph reports that Liverpool have now entered into negotiations with Stoke.

However, despite his career falling off track somewhat at Stoke, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp clearly believes the 74-time Swiss global can perform at the highest level and aims to bring him to Anfield this summer. Liverpool have been trying to reignite a deal despite a hands-off warning issued before the World Cup.

Shaqiri arrived at Stoke three years ago but has openly admitted he wants to play elsewhere after the club were relegated at the end of last season. Fekir is now part of the French squad which have made it to the World Cup final.
