Britain's Prince William poses with Jewish and Arab children in Jaffa Israel on Tuesday

William became the first British royal to travel to Israel and the Palestinian Territories when he embarked on a five-day tour of the region earlier this week.

Prior to visiting the church, the Prince received a briefing on the history and geography of Jerusalem's Old City from a viewing point at the Mount of Olives. He also toured the Temple Mount, Al-Aqsa Mosque and the Dome of the Rock.

William then visited the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, another popular stop for pilgrims and where many Christians believe Jesus was crucified and buried.

OrCam Technologies Ltd., the world's most advanced wearable artificial vision innovator for people who are partially sighted, blind, have reading difficulties or reading fatigue, was selected to demonstrate to HRH Prince William, The Duke of Cambridge, during the first-ever official visit by a member of the Royal Family to Israel.

At a meeting with Palestinian president Mahmud Abbas in Ramallah, the prince appeared to fall foul of the complex language surrounding the Middle East conflict.

Britain gave no detailed explanation for the change of tack, which coincided with Israel's 70th anniversary.

Alice, who married Prince Andrew of Greece and died in 1969, was honoured by Israel for protecting the family.

Israeli settlers attacked Palestinian residents, including an elderly man, while Israeli forces raided two houses, in the southern occupied West Bank district of Hebron, on predawn Sunday.

The right-wing Likud party of Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who the prince met in Jerusalem on Tuesday, rejects Palestinian statehood and supports Jewish settlement in the occupied West Bank.

Then, in the most personal and emotional stop of the day, he visited his great-grandmother's tomb.

"Despite the strategic mistakes made by Abu Mazen ‎‎(Abbas) and his people", the Egyptian official said, "Kushner and Greenblatt were ‎told, in no uncertain terms, that the Palestinians ‎deserve an independent Palestinian state with East ‎Jerusalem as its capital."‎.

The Israel Hayom daily interviewed officials from Egypt, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates and Jordan who confirmed to Jared Kushner, President Trump's senior adviser and son-in-law, and Jason Greenblatt, the US envoy to the region, their support for the yet to be announced "deal of the century".

According to the report, Jordanian officials are said to have been upset with Israel's slow response which they described as "sleeping at the wheel", especially since the signing of a 2016 reconciliation agreement which Israel is adamant to maintain.
