Rohit Sharma hit a blistering 56-ball century as India claimed a seven-wicket win over England to take the Twenty20 worldwide series 2-1. Chasing 199 for victory, Rohit remained not out on 100 off 56 balls, and including 11 fours and five sixes.

Put in to bat, England posted a mammoth 198 for 9, with opener Jason Roy top scoring with 67. The 24-year-old returned career-best figures of 4/38.

India batsman Rohit Sharma: "I like to be calm, not to panic, because I know once you're there you can make up time". A lucky top-edge for four took Rohit to his fifty off 28 balls, while Virat Kohli took his time settling in. The visitors went on to register their eighth T20I series win as Rohit Sharma smashed a fluent century during the chase.

The "Hitman" had a wonderful T20I series as he scored 137 runs in three games to become the highest run-getter in the series. You can watch video highlights of IND vs ENG here. That win also extended India's win record in three-match T20I bilateral series to 8-0.

Former India captain MS Dhoni on Sunday completed a coveted double in T20 Internationals, becoming the first player to take five catches in a match.

Jordan gave England a ray of hope when things looked dim for the hosts by picking up Kohli's wicket with a sharp catch off his own bowling.

Sent into bat, Roy and his opening partner Jos Buttler (34 runs of 21 balls) shared 94 runs from 7.5 overs to make a flying start in their innings as the duo dealt in fours and sixes initially. The loss of both openers in the space of 10 balls did little to slow England and the hosts were 118-2 after 11 overs and a score well in excess of 200 seemed eminently possible.

Two wickets fell in the next seven overs but the runs kept coming.

Kaul finally ended the carnage by rattling the stumps as Buttler tried to swipe across the line.

Dhoni achieved this feat in his 93rd T20 global.

Pandya will have to show the same qualities in the one-dayers, where England are a much better side. Just a ball after, Bairstow followed Stokes towards the pavilion. He was there with centurion Rohit Sharma when India needed to pull themselves out of a brief slowdown when the 15th and 16th over produced seven runs and the wicket of Virat Kohli.
