LeBron James will wear Los Angeles Lakers yellow for a $154 million price tag over the next four years.

"Thank you Northeast Ohio for an incredible four seasons", said James on his Instagram account.

For the second time in his career, James is saying goodbye to the Cleveland Cavaliers, who drafted the teenage sensation from Akron in 2003 and have to be satisfied with winning just one title in the 11 years they had him. There are still a few teams with the cap space to take on a contract like Love's without having to send much back. Earlier this season, James was flattered when a Pennsylvania company paid for three billboards in OH urging James to come to Philadelphia, where the club has been abiding by a "Trust The Process" mantra while rebuilding.

The meeting with the 76ers was first reported by ESPN. LeBron James chose to leave the Cavaliers in free agency this offseason, which has altered the direction that the Cavaliers are looking to go. Heck, he's already decided and it's the Los Angeles Lakers. Orlando made the largest offer to O'Neal, but the big center yearned for something new and he chose instead to sign with the Lakers.

Last month, the 33-year-old sports superstar played in his eighth consecutive National Basketball Association finals, losing to Golden State.

Embiid may be up to speed on LeBron's latest as he sent out a tweet about James' potential free agency destination.

James isn't expected to drag his choice out over several days. His farewell letter from Monday, July 2 thanked James for ending the 52-year championship drought in Cleveland, and uniting "generations of Clevelanders, both living and passed" in the process.

The 33-year-old forward leaves the Cavaliers to join an iconic franchise that has won 16 National Basketball Association titles but is rebuilding after posting a losing record for five consecutive seasons.

All of the buzz from the past year that LeBron James would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers became a reality Sunday night, July 1.

After all, the Lakers had reportedly been trying to land San Antonio Spurs forward Kawhi Leonard in a trade to pair another star with James.

Cleveland was 12-1 on Friday when it was still in the running to retain James.

The Cavs, on the other hand, have been mostly operating in the dark.

By declining his option, James positioned himself to be able to choose where he'll play next, and Cleveland remains a strong possibility, even though he declined his option for next season.

But the Warriors obtained Kevin Durant after that loss and Golden State has gone 8-1 against the Cavs in the two NBA Finals since.

With James signing in Los Angeles, that should invite plenty of agonizing debates regarding which player is better: LeBron James or Kobe Bryant.
