MEGHAN-SAMANTHA-MARKLE

While newlyweds Meghan Markle and Prince Harry can't technically escape the chore of sending thank-you cards to wedding guests and well-wishers, it's a safe bet that they have plenty of palace staff to arrange all the envelope licking and fumbling around for mailing addresses. And Meghan, let us not forget, had not only spent the entirety of that day with the Queen (who essentially IS a British accent personified) she's also literally been immersed in those accents for over a year at this point.

First reported by InStyle, the video shows how much of an influence living among the British has affected Markle already. TooFab didn't hear anything distinguishable, so we turned to the experts for their analysis. He added, "I can also say she intends to become a United Kingdom citizen and will go through the process of that, which some of you may know takes a number of years". "The sun was shining for us". "We don't use the exact same vowel phrasing every single time".

First there was Madonna, then there was Lindsay Lohan.

However, there was one other detail about her ensemble that didn't go unnoticed. It's a way of showing empathy and solidarity-and, crikey, there's no better way of making people feel at ease (and perhaps feel like you're fitting in, too) than mimicking their speech rhythms. It's also worth pointing out that she technically has more of a Canadian accent anyway at this point, having lived in Toronto filming Suits for so long, and that's practically British accent adjacent...right?

Another added: "Unreasonably sad about Meghan Markle adopting an English accent and inflexions".

Beauty-wise The Duchess took a pared-back approach, wearing her hair in a neat bun, no signature loose tendrils framing her face to be seen and minimal make-up.

Now that she's a royal she'll be speaking in public a little less though she does chat to people when on royal visits.

We have to say we don't really hear it but there's time - she could sound like Kate in a few years!
