Sacha Baron Cohen teases project with Dick Cheney signing 'waterboard kit'

The provocative comedian/actor has been teasing a Donald Trump-themed project for the past week, and reports emerged that Showtime had picked up the project, which has been a year in the making. It apparently debuts Sunday, July 15, and apparently will be titled Who Is America? Written and directed by Cohen, the seven-episode series will explore individuals known and unknown across the American political spectrum.

Sacha Baron Cohen's back to his old tricks. pranking politicians.

"Sacha is a comedic genius who shocks you with his audacity, bravery and inventiveness", Showtime president David Nevins said in a statement. Neither Cohen nor Showtime has revealed what the comedian's new character looks like, but that question is sure to drive numerous fans to check out the new show.

The 22-second teaser, posted to Cohen's Twitter page, depicts former Vice President of the United States Dick Cheney signing a waterboard kit with a gleeful smile and a laugh. Behind the elaborate setup is a genuine quest for the truth about people, places and politics.

The actor behind Ali G from the cult classic film "Borat" is back with more outrageous material, as Sacha Baron Cohen teased his upcoming "most unsafe show in the history of television" by getting Dick Cheney to sign a "waterboarding kit".

It also follows news from earlier this year, in which it was said that Baron Cohen was trying to get in a room with O.J. Simpson.

"That's the first, that's the first I've ever signed a waterboard", Cheney remarks, presumably unaware that he was being filmed for a comedy show.
