Samsung will make the Galaxy Note 9 official on August 9th

Despite talk of an in-display fingerprint sensor, though, the Note 9 is expected to keep that on the back.

The event will be held on August 9th in New York City. The timeframe certainly lines up. The upcoming smartphone has now been certified by the US FCC (US Federal Communications Commission).

Samsung's popular phablet, the Galaxy Note 8 is now available for Rs. 54,900, down from its original price of Rs. 74,000. Exact details are pretty thin at the moment, though one leaker called it "the biggest update" in the peripheral's history, for what that's worth.

The next big thing from Samsung is almost here. And with the Galaxy S9 series already out on the market, an event as grand as this one is most probably leading to the release of the Galaxy Note 9. Previously Samsung announced Note 8 on August 23rd and Note 7 on August 2nd, so the timing fits.

According to Forbes's Ewan Spence, the earlier announcement date this year for Galaxy Note 9 allows Samsung to also start selling the device within August. This would result in even better lowlight camera performance, but it's possible that the new tech will debut on next year's Galaxy S10 rather than the upcoming Galaxy Note 9.

The idea here is to turn the phone into the notepad we used to carry around, converging not just the phone, the pocket computer, and the camera, but also the notepad with it.

The Galaxy J4 features a 5.5-inch Super AMOLED display with 720 x 1280 HD resolution and a traditional 16:9 aspect ratio. The Galaxy A6 price is priced at Rs 21,990 for the 32GB storage variant, while the 64GB storage variant is priced at Rs 22,990.

The Note 9 might also pack in a massive 4,000 mAh battery as well.

Rumors suggest the big screen smartphone will have a similar design to the Note 8. Naturally, as ever, it's going to be livestreamed and we'll have all the information as soon as Samsung lets us have it. Other than that, we only have previous leaks like it would be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset and it will have 4GB of RAM, 64GB of internal memory, and will run Android Oreo 8.1 out of the box.
