Kelvin Benjamin on Panthers: Cam Newton, Bills WR receiver talk

Nothing to see here, just a few position battles.

On Thursday, Cam Newton got the chance to confront Kelvin about his comments, but the Buffalo Bills WR made a decision to dismiss him and just walk away from the conversation.

"I mean, I felt like I would've been even more successful if ..."

First the video. Then the responses, which weren't very kind to the Buffalo star, in general, although Benjamin scored a first quarter touchdown and jumped into the stands to celebrate.

Newton chose to approach Benjamin, who didn't seem inclined to talk, prior to the game.

When it became clear Benjamin wasn't over their squabbling, Newton ushered away a Bills player for privacy, but Benjamin walked away from the conversation. The beef stems from this quote from Benjamin speaking to The Athletic on his time in Carolina.

For those who haven't heard, Benjamin didn't hold back in his public criticism of his former teammate.

Panthers tight end Greg Olsen called Benjamin's barbs "weird", adding Sunday (via Panthers.com): "Things didn't work out here for him".

As fate would have it, the Panthers and Bills will meet Thursday night in Buffalo for their first preseason game.

While Benjamin clearly didn't want to talk about the situation, Newton didn't either, literally.
