The musician was in Medford, New Jersey, on the way to a concert in Camden.

"It was then I realized what an idiot I was", Reed told NBC.

A substitute teacher was shopping at a gas station in New Jersey when an man in front of her was shot a few dollars.

But as she was paying she thought to herself that the guy looked familiar.

Keith Urban was buying some things at an New Jersey convenience store when a local teacher offered to pay for him without even knowing who he was. "Do people ever tell you that you look like Keith Urban?' And he said, 'I am Keith Urban, ' and I said, 'No you're not really?"

"And he said what's your name, Ruth, he said "Ruth I'm Keith" and I said "That's who you look like Keith Urban do people every tell you that you look like Keith Urban" and he said 'I am Keith Urban and I said no you're not really'". And recently, she loaned a man money without realizing he is one of the biggest country music stars in the world.

"And I said 'Really?" She said that for the last several years she has made it a resolution to pay for someone's purchases at Wawa at least once a week. Really? Then where's Nicole?

"And I just fell apart, fell apart and he was gracious", Reed said.

Luckily, Urban's bodyguard confirmed to Reed that the man she helped was, indeed, the Australian star.

She overheard Urban ask a companion for $5 and said he looked like he could use some help.

"And he really could have said, 'Lady, get away from me!'" she said. Still, she managed to snap a photo with Urban.
