Gennady Golovkin v Saul'Canelo Alvarez

This preview for Canelo vs. Golovkin 2 - "The REMATCH" will give you chills...

Luckily for Golovkin, he hasn't had to listen. The rematch is sold out, but a lackluster promotion might make it more hard to sell as many pay-per-views as the two fighters did when they first met. "He would have got knocked out the first time, but he decided to make it a track meet". He will make his second title defense against Brandon Cook (20-1, 13 KOs), 32, of Toronto, who weighed 153.2 pounds. Judge Adalaide Byrd scored the fight 118-110 Alvarez over GGG, who many thought was the victor.

"If he does that we'll be treated to a great fight".

"I'm angry but I'm going to use it in my favor in this fight", Alvarez said.

Alvarez, who was later suspended for six months by the Nevada State Athletic Commission, insists the banned substance - Clenbuterol - entered his system via contaminated meat in his native Mexico.

Golovkin said when Alvarez and his team approached him, "All I could feel was fear from them, and I think they did it so I couldn't look into his eyes and he couldn't look into mine". He's tried to bait Alvarez by claiming the Mexican fighter ran in the first fight and refused to engage Triple G, when in reality all Alvarez did was rely on his counter punching strength against the big puncher from Kazakhstan, who lives in Los Angeles.

Golovkin (38-0-1, 34 knockouts) is a slight favorite in the rematch, much as he was in the first fight.

Following the controversial decision in their first fight, most fans are expecting that either Canelo or "GGG" will earn their 35th career knockout victory in the rematch. "I would expect quite a few large bets Saturday".

Johnny Avello, executive director of the Wynn race and sports books, said if the fight went off on Friday that he'd need the underdog. But both fighters seem determined not to let it be decided by the ringside judges.

Mexico's Alvarez (49-1-2, 34 knockouts) meanwhile came in at 159.4 pounds, well within the 160lb limit.

In the hours leading up to the first fight, a late flurry of money on Golovkin drove his odds to -200 before the bell sounded.

"This fight means a lot to me because of all that has happened and all that has been said", Alvarez said. "It's a real fight, a real war". But the fighters declined to hold a joint news conference when the new deal was finished, and they declined to go on a media tour or stand face to face at the final prefight news conference Wednesday.
