Meghan Markle Is Part of a New Cookbook Project

Meghan was not only joined by her husband, Prince Harry, but her mother, Doria Ragland, was also there to honour the endeavour.

When Meghan Markle's mom Doria Ragland was spotted at Los Angeles International Airport this week, she was crossing the pond to London for the sweetest reason - to support her daughter's first solo charity project in person. Needless to say, she nailed it! That I believe is the ethos of Together, so to the women of the Hubb Community Kitchen, thank you so much for allowing me to be part of this adventure with you.

The Duchess of Sussex brought her mother to the launch of the Grenfell community cookbook she has championed - and helped prepare lunch for the guests.

Ragland, who wore a camel coloured sweater, pants and matching shawl, reportedly introduced herself as "Meg's mom" and if you didn't love both of them before, now you do.

"I immediately felt connected to this community kitchen; it is a place for women to laugh, grieve, cry and cook together", said the Duchess of Sussex in a statement.

Meghan's husband and mother looked on proudly as she gave a speech to launch the book, telling them the multi-cultural kitchen has been integral in helping her feel welcome in London after moving from Canada where she lived while filming the popular TV series Suits.

While Ragland has been given a prominent royal seal of approval, Meghan's father has spoken of his fears that she will not contact him again. And the pair looked as chic as they did happy, with Meghan clad in a royal blue coat by Smythe over a turtleneck bodysuit by TUXE Bodywear and a pleated skirt by her pal Misha Nonoo, while Doria looked elegant as ever in a beige sweater with coordinated pants and a matching scarf draped over her shoulders.

"Together: Out Community Cookbook" showcases over 50 recipes from women whose community was affected by the Grenfell Tower fire. "I'm so privileged to know you", Markle continued.

"Working on this project for the past nine months has been a tremendous labor of love".

"We cook the recipes we've grown up with; there's no stress, and the recipes always work because they have been made so many times - it's proper comfort food".
