Olivia Newton-John who is battling cancer for the third time

In a secret she kept "from nearly everyone", Olivia Newton-John was diagnosed with cancer in her shoulder five years ago-more than 20 years after she was first diagnosed with breast cancer, CNN notes.

The Grease star, who turns 70 this month, appeared on Australian TV and said that doctors found a tumor at the base of her spine in 2017.

Olivia Newton-John's cancer fight is not yet over.

In her memoir, the "Summer Nights" singer says that she is relying on a mix of conventional and natural therapies to treat cancer and is now receiving photon radiation therapy. "I am still treating it naturally and doing really well", she said. "I live in this attractive place", Olivia is a fighter and remains incredibly positive about her fate.

She opened up for the first time about her battle with cancer back in 2013, which was her second diagnosis, having previously kept it to herself. Last year, the singer canceled her tour after she learned that she had "breast cancer that [had] metastasized to the sacrum".

She said the treatment is going "really well" and she's optimistic for the future.

"He makes me tinctures".

"There are moments, I'm human", she added.

Sir Barry said: "I'm very, very sad to hear about it (the cancer returning) again, what we all thought she had defeated is still there".

In 2013, she was diagnosed with cancer in her shoulder after she was involved in a minor auto accident.

Discussing the alternative treatment, Newton-John writes, "This has helped me greatly with pain and sleep". "A lot of people see it as a fight, and [however] you choose to see it, that's your prerogative".

The actress credits her husband, John Easterling, for being her No. 1 support system throughout this tumultuous time.

But despite all the hardship, Olivia is keeping a positive mind and believes there are people out there who are far worse off than her. And, um, I'm a very privileged person, and I'm very aware of that.

"I live in this handsome place". I have an incredible career.

She told Sunday Night: "In California, it's legal to grow a certain amount of plants for your own medicinal purposes".
