Amazon states that It is the thinnest and lightest Kindle Paperwhite yet, measuring 8.18mm thick and weighing 182g. Everything you loved about the previous Kindle Paperwhite generation is obviously still here, including a glare-free 6-inch screen with 300 ppi resolution, a built-in adjustable light for ideal readability in all conditions and environments, and a battery life "measured in weeks".

The "invert colours" setting featured in the Kindle Oasis is also now available in Amazon's new version of the Paperwhite. The Kindle Oasis has a IPX8 rating which means it can stay completely submerged in two meters of freshwater for up to sixty minutes, the Kobo Forma has the same certification. There's also a model with free cellular connectivity that costs $249 and also gives you 32GB of space.

Amazon has added Bluetooth to the Paperwhite, as well, so you can now use Audible to listen to your favorite stories. These customers will have the device with three months of free Kindle unlimited subscription.

The all-new Kindle Paperwhite comes with twice the storage as the previous generation, and is now available in 8GB and 32GB models.

The tech giant said users are reading more pages on Kindle than ever, and the company's annual Prime Day sales event in July was the highest sales day ever for Kindle devices. The shipping for 8GB variant will start from November 14, but the 32GB model will ship in the "coming months".
