Juan Williams blasted President Trump's Oval Office meeting with musician Kanye West and former Cleveland Browns running back Jim Brown.

The pre-lunch meeting was also attended by former US football player Jim Brown and Trump's son-in-law Jared Kushner.

According to the Atlanta rapper, Kanye West is auctioning off his soul to Donald Trump to gain power.

The rapper dominated the unusual meeting and was there to discuss violence in West's home city of Chicago.

"I love this guy right here!"

The pair then posed for photos and West, who did not cast a vote in the 2016 presidential election but has been a vocal supporter of Trump, hugged the president.

Previously, Kanye's reality TV star wife Kim Kardashian has visited the White House to press, successfully, for Trump to grant clemency to Alice Johnson, a woman who was sentenced to life in prison for nonviolent drug crimes.

"I have an open mind", Trump assured him.

Kanye West during his meeting with President Trump in the Oval Office on October 11, 2018.

"They tried to scare me to not wear this hat", West told Trump, referencing his SNL appearance."When I put this hat on, it made me feel like Superman-my favorite superhero".

"There's a whole lot of people in this country that do give you a lot of credit for everything you've been doing for this country", he said.

Talking loudly and rapidly on everything from Trump's protectionist trade polices to replacing Air Force One with a hydrogen plane, black gun crime, being married to Kim Kardashian and "infinite amounts of universe", West left the normally loquacious president almost speechless.

When his monologue was finally finished, it was Trump's turn to say something.

"A liberal will try to control a black person through the concept of racism because they know that we are very proud emotional people", West said.

CNN reporter Caroline Kelly was also in the store, and she posted a video of West's speech. "And you made a Superman cape for me".

"He said that I actually wasn't bipolar, I had sleep deprivation, which could cause dementia 10 to 20 years from now where I wouldn't even remember my son's name", he said.

The rapper also spoke against stop-and-frisk policing policies, which Mr Trump recently expressed support for.

"I'm standing in this spot, I love this guy!"
