Detroit kept its flawless record intact with a 110-103 victory on Thursday over the winless Cleveland Cavaliers, who were missing their best player, Kevin Love. The first game will be played Saturday at Detroit's Little Caesars Arena.

Details of how Love injured his foot have not been revealed, though the Akron Beacon Journal noted he had a "noticeable limp" in the locker room after the team's 102-86 loss to the Nets on Wednesday. The NBA's steals leader from a season ago has averaged 19.8 points per in 24 career contests against the Cavs, including three 30-point games against Cleveland previous year and a 45-point outburst a couple seasons ago with Orlando.

The Pistons haven't gone undefeated through their first four games since the 2008-09 season.

Detroit's next two games are against the Celtics.

"We can't get too excited", Drummond said.

Drummond notched his 22nd career 20-20 game on Thursday, and second this season. Their first three victories were secured by a combined six points. The Pistons led the Cavaliers throughout the second half but couldn't pull away.

"As competitors we want to win, but I thought there was some good out there tonight", Korver said.

They'll both have their hands full on Saturday night with Pacers big man Myles Turner, who's coming off a 16-point night against the Spurs. "So we've got to take them win by win and game by game and just keep getting better".

In Orlando, Damian Lillard's second-half scoring spree helped propel Portland to a 128-114 victory.

CJ McCollum had 22 for the Trail Blazers and Jusuf Nurkic added 18 points and 10 rebounds.

Oklahoma led 50-34 at halftime after Boston had shot just 32 per cent and missed all 11 three-point attempts.

It appears fans aren't exactly lining up to see Kevin Love and Co. He's a competitive guy, he's a fun guy.

Detroit Pistons guard Luke Kennard will be out at least two weeks after suffering a shoulder injury on Friday AEDT.
