Trump says Obama took Biden off ‘the trash heap’

Trump mentioned the proposed tax cut in the same week the US government ended the 2018 fiscal year with a $779 billion deficit, the Treasury Department said on Monday, as previous Republican-led tax cuts squeezed revenues.

"This election is literally bigger than politics".

"Mr. President you know a little something about gold", Heller said.

The president wants to focus on immigration as one of the defining election issues.

Biden and Rosen rallied with members of Culinary Union 226, which represents about 57,000 housekeepers, bartenders and other workers in the casinos and hotels of the city.

Trump, trying to hold onto Republicans' narrow 51-49 advantage in the Senate, said a vote for Sinema "is dangerous" because it would empower Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer and House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi.

With thirty-six governorships on the line in the upcoming midterms, the GOP could see the 33 they now hold whittled down due to Trump's unpopularity.

Biden says America was built on basic fundamental decency and "it is being shredded right now". And it allows him to retain his self-image as a victor - at least until he faces voters in his 2020 election race. But it's also an approach that flies in the face of the political reality that his own unpopularity is a millstone for Republicans in competitive House seats, especially in suburban areas outside cities such as Minneapolis, Chicago and Detroit, where his populist nationalism doesn't connect as well as in the deep red territory where he holds rallies. And the President's rock bottom rating among women voters also threatens to hamper Republicans hoping to hang on to at risk House seats.

Trump said Heller's challenger Rosen was indebted to the Democratic establishment and opposed the nomination of Supreme Court Justice Brett Kavanaugh. The later faced allegations of decades-old sexual assault during his confirmation hearings, prompting impassioned Senate hearings and fraught votes.

The heavily immigrant union's voter turnout was credited with giving Democrats key victories in Nevada in 2016.

But Heller himself once had rocky relations with Trump and had returned a campaign donation from then-candidate Trump over Trump's immigration rhetoric.

"Call me", he told the Democratic leaders in Congress, Sen. But Heller has since become an ally of the president, who has made two fundraising stops for him in Nevada this year already.

"Anybody who votes for a Democrat now is insane", Trump said. Heller accused her of making a visit to see separated families at the U.S. -Mexico border in order to stage a "photo-op, " while she described Heller a "rubber-stamp" for Trump, whose tax plan she said benefits the wealthy at the expense of the middle class. But no agreement came to pass.

Earlier, before the rally, Trump tweeted the Democrats are "being obstructionists" towards the immigration policies and suggested that if they were to come together with Republicans to write up the new laws, it would take "less than one hour".
