TRUMP TO WARREN: Apologize for 'Perpetrating Fraud' Against the American Public

Warren is now under heavy fire after revealing Monday that she is 1/1,204th Native American, according to a genetic test - a result she says should silence critics who accused her of lying in interviews where she claimed affiliation with the Cherokee tribe.

"Now that her claims of being of Indian heritage have turned out to be a scam and a lie, Elizabeth Warren should apologize for perpetrating this fraud against the American Public", Trump continued.

On "Fox & Friends" Tuesday, Mullin pointed to a 2014 study by Harvard University and 23andMe that found that European Americans tested overall for 0.18 percent Native American ancestry, while Warren's results show she may have as little as 0.09 percent.

MULLIN: It does. The idea that she's trying to claim the Cherokee, for one, and look, every time she's told this story we've come out and actually proved that the story is not even true.

Trump gleefully incorporated the statement into his tweets at the MA senator, saying on Tuesday: "Now Cherokee Nation denies her, 'DNA test is useless.' Even they don't want her. Phony!".

Warren has acknowledged listing her Native American heritage on a directory for years, but she and those who hired her have denied that her background was a factor in advancing her career.

Bustamante's analysis places Warren's Native American ancestor between six and 10 generations ago, with the report estimating eight generations.

Hoskin said none of this helps the Cherokee Nation. When asked about it Monday, Trump said he'd donate only if he "can test her personally".

Hoskin said the tests can not even reliably determine lineage among North or South American tribal groups.

Warren's release of the DNA report on Monday was accompanied by a almost six-minute, campaign-style video that recounted her background and takes direct aim at Trump, with Warren saying his mocking of Native Americans is "not what America stands for".

"Pocahontas (the bad version), sometimes referred to as Elizabeth Warren, is getting slammed". "I respect the distinction, & don't list myself as Native in the Senate", she said.

The kerfuffle began during Warren's 2012 Senate campaign when opponents accused her of having advanced her academic career as a law professor with the narrative that she is a descendant of Cherokee and DE tribes - using said claims to qualify for affirmative-action hiring considerations. On Monday, Trump said he would pay up, but only if he "can test her personally". "That will not be something I enjoy doing, either". "It may soothe his ego - but it won't work", Warren tweeted.

She also said she took the test and released the results because she has nothing to hide, calling out Trump for hiding his tax returns.
