Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh celebrate their wedding at Italy's Lake Como

DeepVeer however took this step after 6 long years of dating.

Bollywood superstars Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh released the first pictures from their wedding ceremony and have left everyone in awe.

Honouring both of their respective culture and traditions, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh got married in two ways - one in Konkani traditional style and in another Sindhi traditional style.

Priyanka Chopra, who is set to tie the knot with American singer Nick Jonas next month, called her Bajirao Mastani co-stars "insanely beautiful" and "stunning".

Deepika and Ranveer both wore Sabyasachi for their wedding ceremonies.

- Ranveer Singh's Baarat danced to the tunes of Govinda along with Punjabi tunes. May the love & respect you have in each other, grow leaps and bounds. "Love and happiness forever, these are such full of pyaar-wala pictures".

Soon after the wedding Bollywood celebrities took to social media to congratulate the couple.

Ranveer Singh also published the two photographs on his own Instagram, but they earned fewer likes, 3.5 million.

While several, including Bollywood stars, congratulated the couple and commented on how attractive they looked together, some seem to have missed out a hidden message on Deepika's regal Sabyasachi ensemble that she wore on her second event. One on November 21 at the Leela in Bengaluru and the second will be hosted by the Singhs on November 28 at the Grand Hyatt.

"Huge congratulations Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh!"

Keeping it very simple, the couple only put a heart emoji in their posts while sharing some of the most romantic pictures from their wedding days. Anushka Sharma Kohli shared a heartwarming tweet, she wrote, "Wishing you both a world of happiness and a handsome journey together".
