Destiny 2 PC Version Is Free for a Limited Time

Well, if you're ever going to take the plunge, now is the time to do it. Having the base game be free for a limited time is certainly a good way to drum up interest, especially since the PC community is far smaller than on consoles.

Now here is a cool free game to grab, Destiny 2 is free for anyone who does not already own the PC game will have the opportunity to claim it as a gift through their Battle.net account. For those who already own Destiny 2 on PC, you'll get an anniversary emblem.

The rather extraordinary giveaway was announced just now, ahead of BlizzCon 2018's opening ceremony, by Steve Cotton, Destiny 2 game director at developer Bungie.

From the reveal of Warcraft 3: Reforged to the unveiling of Diablo: Immortal, there have been plenty of big announcements to come out of BlizzCon 2018, but perhaps one of the more surprising pieces of information from the event relates to Destiny 2.

Plus, Bungie is giving all Destiny 2 players a chance to try out the new Gambit PvP mode, which was first introduced alongside the Forsaken expansion back in September. That said, all Destiny 2 players can try out the Gambit DLC this weekend.

To claim Destiny 2, fire up the Battle.net app and click on the gift icon in the upper-right, as indicated above. You can also sign into your Battle.net account online and claim it on the web.
