Fans have also claimed the game is a reskin of Crusaders of Light, another game by NetEase, which is partnering with Blizzard on the development of Diablo Immortal.

The fan who asked the question later posted on Reddit as user Dontinquire (h/t Eurogamer), saying he felt "terrible" for Diablo principle designer Wyatt Cheng, who had to field the comment on stage.

One of such announcement was the new Diablo game called "Diablo Immortals" which is exclusively coming to mobile devices, that is android and ios. Diablo: Immortal was developed from the ground up as a stand-alone mobile experience.

IGN will have multiple interviews with Blizzard developers throughout the weekend and will update this story with any official comment we receive regarding fan reactions or the similarities to Endless of God.

Set during the twenty years between Diablo II and Diablo III, Diablo Immortal will tell stories about Tyrael, Deckard Cain, and other familiar franchise characters.

Specifically, Blizzard said Diablo Immortal would feature large, "shared outdoor zones" where players could explore the overworld and encounter other players online. Diablo Immortal will recreate the franchise's traditional multiplayer point and click action gameplay with optimizations for mobile touchscreen controls. That interface, seen above, may look bonkers to Diablo's PC faithful, but it looks somewhat reserved compared to mega-popular mobile games like PUBG and Fortnite.

While Blizzard hinted that Diablo news was on the way, the firm did its best to temper expectations surrounding a fourth mainline entry in the run-up to its annual BlizzCon event. Yes, but I won't dismiss Diablo Immortal out of hand. "And then around the world in many regions, it's their primary gaming device, and so it's always been our aspiration [to bring games to them]".

And Blizzard stresses that this is a traditional "fully-fledged" Diablo experience, complete with six traditional classes, challenging boss fights and deep gameplay. "We want to do it in a way that feels right for 'Diablo'".
